As we approach our time of departure for our trip to Europe a number of thoughts cross our minds.
We are leaving La Crete on September 11th and flying out of Calgary on the 12th. It is surprising how many people immediately remember 9/11! The memories bring fear to a lot of people and with good reason as we remember that fateful day and consider the events unfolding in our world today. It is extremely sad that so many are doing so much to destroy this wonderful world that God created for us to enjoy. So many people suffer so much at the hands of those who are determined to follow their selfish and hateful ways! In the midst of the fear generated by all of this destruction it is helpful to remember the following scripture:
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:1-6 NKJV)
Also we are leaving just prior to the most scenic season of our area and as we will miss all the beauty we hope that you will fully enjoy the changing of the colors before your eyes!
