Welcome to our 2016 vacation!
This year we have the wonderful privilege of travelling to Poland to continue the journey of our Mennonite people from the reformation in the early sixteenth century to the immigration to Canada in the late eighteen hundreds! We stared this journey in 2012 with a tour to Ukraine in 2012. In July of 2014 we did a car trip to Manitoba to see what remains of the many villages and especially enjoyed the Steinbach Mennonite Museum; this is well worth an afternoon of your time if you happen to be in the area. Then in September of 2014 we joined a tour again; this time to Europe where the reformation and also Mennonite movements started!
In the past we have visited Bolivia and toured a number of colonies there. This leaves Paraguay and Mexico for some future date as well as numerous other countries that our people have home.
Starting this years' vacation started in Edmonton with a relaxing picnic in a beautiful park as the following photos indicate:
On June 30th we flew to Winnipeg for a nephew's wedding on July 2nd; a beautiful ranch wedding; all the best as you start your life together!
On July 1st we enjoyed a river boat tour of downtown Winnipeg;

This afternoon (July 4th) we are flying out of Winnipeg to Warsaw via Toronto. Our pray is for a safe fligh and a rewarding time with the fellow travelers!

I think mom would've liked if you posted that "special" photo of her and Lenora instead. ;-)
